And then Mother nature started dealing the aces.

This sh1t carried on for miles. The river would turn completely dry and you could open your scoot up full taps in top gear  :ricky:

..then it would switch back to this:

What a ride! So much variety in the space of 10KM.

This is the life.
This is why I ride.
It was a real pleasure doing it with a new friend.

This was my hardest and most awesome ride that I have ever done ,  the scenery and fact that we are privileged enough to live in this amazing country  made up for all the pain I felt  in parts of my body that I never knew existed ;D  , the monkey bud I still have !!

I would like to thank Sidetrack and Swartskaap  for this opportunity that they gave me to experience  this mad adventure . My trip started bad with the front wheel bearing going , but ended with a strong sense of accomplishment . Made 2 new friends with whom I can make new memories  :ricky:

Sorry no pics from my side , was to busy carrying bikes over mountains  :lol8:

Sidetrack : Dankie dat ek jou water kon opdrink

Swartskaap  dankie vir daai laast foto !!    score 1-0

I got too tired to even think about taking pictures from 500m to 2000m.
I had visions of choppers airlifting our bikes to safety, the embarrassment of having to pay 20 locals to help us carry our bikes out of Bewaar kloof.
I finally deduced that it was named that because bewaar jou siel as jy hier wil deur

After 4 hours of battling we were presented with a clearing and I knew that we were victorious judging from the fact that the 4x4 track lays ahead:

Henko in good form:

Hy't hande-4-voet daar rond gekruip in die water, soos 'n baba wat pas gedoop is.
Ek't dit nogals toepaslik gevind, seinde dit sy virgin ride saam met ons was.

Ek dog ek het diamante gesien dis hoekom ek hande 4 voet was  :lol8:

Envious ..... Wonderful ... Pure adventure - well done !
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy

I've just went through the whole RR again, it is just one of those awesome "petrol headed let's ride" RR's that makes one feel like bunking work and go twist a throttle....fark!

Google Earth and surveyor maps, then I ride along and take pictures. Limpopo has some great riding areas. Looking at the area between Ellisras and Louis Trichardt next. Beserker I dig the fact that you can pack only what you need, head in any direction for 3-4 days and it rarely costs you more than R1200-00 everything included.
