Pack Dog
I wanted to add a wind deflecter type fairing to my XRR, something that keeps more or less to the original look, is easy to remove and would get some wind off me. I was not sure where to buy one , so I decided to make one.
1.Started by making a mould from hard cardboard
2. Fibreglassing the mould
3. Sanded the moulding and check fit
4.Primer
5. Sprayed Honda red
6.Made up brackets to support back of screen
7. Fitted screen to bike using four pieces of 3M velcro type, two way tape. This stuff WORKS!
8. Fitted the white vinyl and Dakar logo
9. Had the whole screen covered with VPS vinyl to help reduce gravel rash
10. Test ride and it works like a bomb. Total cost = R 520.
