For those that don't know of it yet, a company in New Zealand named FX Bikes has a super-light off-road bike for sale (since 2005), which is so light/compact that you can put it on a bicycle rack attached to your cage.

Introducing the super-light FX Adventure bike, with the heaviest (chromoly steel) bikes weighing in at a cool 57kg and the titanium models coming in at around 40kg. Combine this with the (Honda based) 125cc engine which puts out 13kW and you have one lively little beast. Of course if you put someone like Trailrider on board the power-to-weight ratio changes significantly, but it'll still beat the socks off his CTX200 in the performance stakes.

FX Bikes reckons this creates a new class in motorcycles, which they like to call MountainMoto. Can't wait to see where this takes adventure motorcycling, as this is clearly more a MX bike than an Adventure or Enduro. Here's a review from Australian Dirtbike Magazine done in 2005, and it seems like FX Bikes listened to the concerns the guys in the review had, as all has been addressed in the 2007 model.
