Ant and myself went to Zone7 for the 1st Time, I took the Big XR650L and Ant opted for his XR250. We only managed 2 laps of the enduro route but was truly stuffed for the day. We decided to make this a monthly ride. Really something excellent to improve my riding skills. We did only just over 20km for the day, maybe more next time?

Saw Murry and his son riding there for the day as well. Good stuff

Grondpaaie, it was great to catch up with you and Ant again.

I have to tell you that I am SUPER IMPRESSED with how you throw that 650 around, it is not easy to do 2 laps of that endure route on that bike. Well done.

If you guys are going once a month just drop me a mail and I will happily join you guys. I am trying my hand at MX riding as well even though I totally suck at it, so once a month around the endure loop and throw in a few laps of MX - sounds like a good day out to me.

...I think you need to work at it

And that is not me say that, it is my 10 year old that would happily burn a tank of petrol between ice creams ...

He wanted to know why you were standing next to your bikes in all off the pics.

Only joking, there is no better way to improve your ability than doing track work...it might actually save you and your bike somewhere in an emergency situation.

Next time you guys come as well and Murray and his laaitie. In my defense we only had my cellphone to take pictures so it was during the rest periods.

And I needed the rest.

I am sure it will improve my skills, thats why I want to go do once a month.

To be honest what lets okes like me down is my fitness, I am just too lazy to get lekker riding fit, 2 laps around wither the endure loop or even the MX track and I am stuffed. Then again, I think I am doing things the hard way by not flying through the air like the pro's

Lekker soos n krekker Grondpaaie!! If you can do this once per month, and more often as soon as possible, you will be amazed at the increase in you bike-fitness.

Now Berserker, shall we see some photos of you doing the same on your XR650R?

I know you can do it quite easily, if only you could get the bike started.

Whilst you were sunning yourself in Oranjemund, I spent 8 hours in the saddle, prepping the Koue Bokkeveld 200.

Yesterday, whilst you were in the process of being hen pecked pretending to put up a fence but actually showing of your Namib tan, I braved the elements (4 degrees in driving rain) finishing up the aforementioned Koue Bokkeveld 200....9 hours later, it is finished.

It also has a social class, catering for tanned fence builders and Zone 7 two lappers (hint hint)

Event takes place this Sat, sadly I will have to miss this one. Have a compulsory meeting to attend.. Can't we organise another ride like this? We need more rides with that type of terrain.
