Hi Guys,

I have a weird slipping clutch? My clutch is very sensitive, and does not needs much pressure at all to engage it. The clutch is also slipping when the bike is loaded, ie, when travelling up a steep hill etc. I have fitted a new clutch cable (original) and thought that this would cure it, but it didn't.

The clutch engaging pin thingy (the pin where the cable attaches) looks like it has some small surface wear on it, can this cause the clutch to slip? Can it be the oil that has deteriorated to an extent that the plates are slipping? I have checked the plates and they have almost no wear, when compared to new ones.

Does anyone know what might be the fault? Only option left is to replace the clutch engaging pin.

Any input is welcome.

Bike is due for a major service, but I am postponing it to December when I have 4 weeks of leave.
