Its 1 o'clock and Stilbaai is closed down. The reastaurant at the shopping centre is open, thank goodness, so I can have coffee and something to eat.

I check with Chris and Amanda, if they are receiving guests and head that way. Even though I saw them yesterday, I seldom socialise with Chris in crowds. Firstly, you don't get a word in edgewise, because of all the rest wanting to enjoy their company, and I come this way often, and prefer to vist him at home, where we can sit on the stoep and have a quiet conversation. Not least the reason is Amanda's coffee.

As always I spend a most pleasant hour or so in their company. I'm also planning to go around Mosselbay to say hello to Fat-b, so reluctantly I have to say good-bye.

There are some roads around that Chris has told me about before, but I did not have the time to ride them... now I have. No problem, he needs to clean his head a bit and will take me on a ride.

Ja well, no fine  :eek7: ... I hang on for dear life, way outside my comfort zone. Don't even think of stopping and taking pics. I know,... you ride your own pace, but its always inevitable to get sucked along. It was fun though, feeling the bikes ass slip away now and again.   It was a very nice ride and I'll come back one day to see what it looks like  :imaposer:

We part ways on the N2 outside Albertinia and I head for Mosselbay.

Another great one (RR) Jupiter. Feels like I've known you for ages, although we've never met.

Fat-b is one of my first WD friends... he is of course also my biggest WD friend   I've been wanting to visit them since Sally was born and passed that way often, but life kept on interrupting. Today we were determined to make the visit happen.

Many will know that him and Christina went through difficult times after Sally was born. He's been quiet lately and I'm often asked how are they doing. Well, they are doing great. I knew Christina was pregnant again and what a pleasant surprise to walk in and be greeted with the new baby born a month ago.

As for Sally, (for those who may wonder, she is a Down Syndrome baby), what a beautiful, animated child. Both of them have made peace with the fact that they have a tough road ahead raising her, and to see them all together, the love and patience, would be an inspiration to any parent.

We drank coffee and caught on the happenings of the past 15 months or so.

All the best my friend and good luck to the future plans.

And so the end of another wonderful day in the saddle draws to a close. I head for George and, well timed, arrive just before dark, a few minutes before Lyn and the children at Kirsty's flat.

Kisrty, who causes chaos wherever she goes, is boundless with excitement that it is the first time that her Mom and Dad will visit together at "her house" which she's very proud of.

They want to give us their double bed to sleep on as they only have a small 3/4 bed in their spare room. Hey, I've not seen my wife in four days,... that 3/4 bed is oversized... and that's all the detail you get  :imaposer:

Its noizy and its pleasant, we have supper and watch the new Star Trek. Sorry, but the new generation have no idea what its about and the movie is offensive to a real Trekkie, who grew up with it.

That's it then for now... next day its in the cage and back to reality, while my bike is getting sorted by Emile and Hendri.

This then is where we hit the "pause" button. Next episode is when I fetch my bike next Monday and complete the trip.

EDIT : Oops ! forgot the pics.

1. My pride and joy... Kirsty

Dit  lyk soos n arbeiders huisie nie regtig borde nie. Hy sit meer na Calitzdorp se kant toe. So op n skelm draai.
Ek het self nog nie daar gestop nie dit is n nuwe ding  maar het dit wel gesien toe ons daar deur is Sondag.
