..Honda...XR250 Baja...
« on: January 11, 2008, 02:20:42 pm »
I don't know how many of you already know (due to our search function not working), but Honda makes a bike (primarily for the Japanese domestic market) similar to the Suzuki Djebel 250XC, which they call the XR250 Baja. Power is 21kW @ 8,000rpm, torque is 25Nm @ 7,000rpm and weight 119kg. Looks the business too.

They look nice.

Would have considered one when I bought the TTR if they weren't so expensive at Biker Toys ...

But I love the look.

If they are out of stock, go to the Suzuki guys and asked for the Djebel 250XC's eye... all 260mm dia and brilliant white beam.   >:D

I had the previous model Baja. Nice bike with decent low down torque. I see on the specs they have a dry weight of 119 kg and like Eisbein said R30 000 secondhand. You can buy a Suzuki 400 for the same price and it is only 10 kg heavier, no contest.

That's more reasonable.

What type of markup have these guys got if they can just drop to 22 ?
