18 OTT 2013 - A half-day of autumn - Sweden

What good opportunity to meet my friend Jerry and have a chat about holidays spent on the road, a nice walk through the colors of autumn in Sweden. 09.00 am the temperature +6 marks and a timid sun peeping through the clouds . Weather forecasts predict sun throughout the day. As he leaves the city as if by magic, the clouds run away , an intense blue sky gives way to the gray of the morning and a wonderful sun shines high in the sky . On the way an explosion of colors, from green to yellow to red-purple , autumn shines in a thousand shades of color . We cross the forest and Torup to Häckeberga between a cascade of leaves that blow in the wind slowly fall to the ground almost to rock . Sounds like a lot of confetti a big party. The autumn holiday . A strong smell of wet earth , foliage penetrating through the helmet , intoxicating the senses and making it even more magical moment. We make a brief stop at the beautiful church of Everlöv on its way to Övedskloster https://www.ovedskloster.com/kultur/historia/ . It is an old monastery founded in 1100 by Eskil of Lund and dedicated to the Holy Trinity . The first monks who settled at Oved came from Prémontré in France. Little is known of them , and the old monastery once stood where now is the present castle with its beautiful gardens . Here, too, the colors of autumn give the best of itself. After a nice walk in the complete tranquility will take the opportunity for a short picnic sipping a hot coffee. Along the lake Vomb we return to the house , but not before a brief stop at one of the many Skeppssättning of southern Sweden .
