I AIN’T SUPERSTITIOUS BUT A BLACK CAT CROSSED MY WAY….

SORRY BOYS AND GIRLS, IT SEEMS TOO MANY FOLKS ARE BUSY WITH TOO MANY OTHER EVENTS AND EVERYBODY'S CALENDARS ARE FULL.
WE WILL RATHER HAVE THIS EVENT IN THE NEW YEAR WHEN THE SEASONAL MADNESS IS OVER TO GET MORE PEOPLE TO COMMIT AND MAKE IT FEASIBLE.
I’LL KEEP YOU POSTED ON A NEW DATE.

SORRY
CHEERS

Right, so after our first live blues gig at the DwarsBar with The Martin Brothers, here's some info on the next one to be
held on the 7th December 2013. We'll stick to very much the same format except there's no MTB race on this time
and WildDogs will have the first choice of filling up the available accommodation.
We will also rather do burgers on the Friday night for fewer people and then do the braai thing on the Saturday.
Standard camping rates of R65-00 p/p/p night will apply and a cover of R80-00 will be charged which will go towards
covering the cost of the band.
To camp on the Saturday night plus the cover charge will cost you R145-00 excluding meals and drinks.
Should you camp on the Friday as well the cost will be R210-00 for the weekend excluding meals and drinks.
Our room rates are R275-00 p/p sharing
Braai packs including side dishes will be sold at R75-00 and our burgers vary from R50-00 to R85-00 depending on what you have.
We have a fully stocked bar and serve breakfast at R50-00 p/p as well.
We and our little establishment can only handle 8 people in our B&B rooms and about 36 two-man type tents at a time so the
first guys to confirm attendance by payment are in.
Alternative accommodation can be arranged on request, just phone me for more info.
All in all we can comfortably deal with about 60 people so please phone, mail or send naked runner with cleft stick to
confirm availability and book your spot in good time!
Please use the following template to indicate your preferences:
Name:
Friday sleep over: Yes/No
Saturday Breakfast: Yes/No
Saturday sleep over: Yes/No
Braai pack: Yes/No and if so Chicken/Beef
Sunday Breakfast: Yes/No

Jake Gunn & Devin Smith Bio:
Up and coming blues rock musician playing gigs around Cape Town with fellow guitarist Devin Smith.
Influences include The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Robert Johnson and Bob Marley.
First album Triple Jack was recorded in Ladismith by Jo Ellis.

Jake Gunn is an up and coming blues rock musician hailing from the northern suburbs of Cape Town.
After discovering rock ‘n roll at a young age, he was inspired to start playing guitar and worked
tirelessly to improve his skill, which finally led to him joining the Lyzyrd Kyngs (Piet Botha & Akkedis) in 2010.
He spent a year under the mentorship of these veteran musicians, before teaming up with the talented young
guitarist Devin Smith.

Sharing a love of music and complementing each other’s guitar playing, they started doing gigs around Cape Town,
followed by a tour up the coast. They later evolved into a full electric band after being joined by CJ Bergh
and Allen Smith. Jake Gunn’s first album Triple Jack, recorded in the winter of 2012, is now available and
includes the song “Radio Mojo” which was featured in the Rolling Stone Rock Chart of 19 January 2013.

"Springing from the backwaters of Brackenfell with the hair of Robert Plant, the skill of boy Clapton
and the voice of a morning-afternight-before Mark Knopfler, Gunn is a revelation." -Alice Inggs, Rolling Stone SA
