Bike for my Son 12 years old
« on: October 22, 2013, 12:41:29 pm »
Hi,

I'm looking to buy a bike for my son he is 12 and he can ride.. He started on a PW50 then a PW 80 but he is to tall for the PW 80 and i want to get him a bigger one.
My choices are a 2 stroke 80 small wheel or a 125 4stroke.
The question i have is i can spend approx 10k on a 80 2-stroke in the form of a kawa or suzuki of some sort
or buy a brand new 125 4stroke puzzy / big boy / etc.

whats the quality of the puzzy etc

does anybdoy have any experience with these?
which is best.
we will be doing mostly outrides at snake road.
there will be no racing

weekend warrors if you know what i mean.

any feedback will be usefull
thanks

My son is 11, we got him a 125CC 4-stroke pitbike. I must admit to being very impressed with this bike, the build quality, the power and everything. I'm not sure about the make (gomoto, johnway, puzey, whatever) but I think it's a big-boy. We got it when he turned 10 and has been playing with it for more than a year now. Admittedly only around the house, this weekend we'll visit Rhino park to play some more.

What is this snake road you are talking about?

Hi,

its called Chimes tavern. There is a paid for area that you can ride and then there is a MASSIVE area on the other side where you can ride for ever and ever. Its in benoni area. Awesome place to ride.

At 12 my son was on a CRF100, he has now upgraded to the CRF230.. if you son is not racing they are great choices.
