Looking at all the pics, makes me want to go back tomorrow. That section where we first joined the river is excellent for practice.... Wide open river bed where you can just gun it and not worry about where you will end up... Landing on the soft stuff after a fall is kewl, just watch for the hidden rocks...

I'm going there again soon, definately. Not as busy as De Wildt proper, and the riding is more relaxed. This little hill was steeper and higher than the photo makes it seem, and right next too is is a nice climb that makes the steep section at the klip look easy. Its a simple hill like in the pic with about a meter or two flat rock in the middle at about 60 degrees, with a lip.
We can do a king of the climb, do this and the klip and you are good.

Nooo!  This was the little climb next to the harsh one.
Just to the left of this photo is the good one.
I went, had a look and decided I didnt want broken bones so we did the other one.

shark doesn't teach: he'll tell you some stuff on what to do, and then just says, 'let's go'. and if you don't have your own gps, you are f&^$@d, as he'll just carry on and you have to follow  very much like chuck would do it...

Sorry nobody took pics of that thing, it was scary.

Slangbyt next time for sure!

That little hill was another tester, I hit a bump about halfway and rode the rest of the way up on the back wheel!
And then you made it up almost falling at the top. No wonder we decided to lift the other TA over the rocks. Much easier ;)

Ask Zonkelnut, you wanna learn sand ride from Maputo to Ponto, by the end of that you have some idea. Or you will sleep in the sticks.
