Not a serious RR. Been busy in the workshop the past two weeks. No problem, the weather was shitty in any case. Beautiful day today andf Wify says we must go for a ride. I had the same idea so just a short one around Maitlands. I like taking foties there.

I come over the hill and there's these windmills spoiling the horizon. Seems there things are going up everywhere. Someones making a shitload of money.

Today, Sunday, the Kirkwood Dogs organised a Bikers Brekkie at Lenmore restaurant in Addo, and who am I to say no. Service is slow, but the food always good. The Arende came through as well, and nice to see some old faces again.

I also so knew I would not escape, so I took my pain and let Knuckelhead tell me about his new GSA.(OK, I'm jealous  :drif: ) Nice bike Boet.

Next we pop in at Casting from Turd, he of the Orange Elephant, (otherwise he would never stop whinging), seeing as we were just right next door.

Actually, we wanted to know how he and Sheryl are doing. John is reserved in his utterings and one can see he is taking strain, but they are doing OK for now. Its a long road to recovery for Sheryl. All the best to the two of you Boet.

1. I can't recall ever having driven over the Barkly Bridge between Addo and Koega. We say our goodbye's and take to the gravel. See you all next week again at the Winterberg Get Together (when I can gat another installment on the GSA  :lamer: )

2 & 3. Along the road, a view towards Sundays riuver mouth and back over the valley

4. The old Koega Hotel. Used to have some serious jols here in my younger days when I still rode with bike clubs.

1. Its been years since Lyn has been around to Amsterdamhoek along the Swartkops river. Its a beautidul hazy day with a view accross the river.

2. Whe last have you had an ice-cream from a ice-cream karretjie, so we have one

3. The road around to Bluewaterbay is closed to traffic, but that's the beauty of riding a bike... yYou get through anywhere. A view of the mouth... very dangerous.

4 & 5. A view accros the bay of the city

And we get home after spending a very pleasant morning together.

Now I have to tell you about this oke. He comes from Walmer location, quite a distance away, and cruises the neighbourhoods to take garden refuse away. I have some branches to be carted off and we negotiate a price. Now his cart is full, but do you think he's now going all the way to the tip and then back for his next load, doing maybe two or three a day at say R50.00 a load.

Nope, he dumps it on the first open spot he finds and so he goes on during the day, doing ten loads or more, and maybe on his way home this evening takes the last load to the tip. Would not be economicly viable otherwise.
