WC - A Mountain Pass that never was
« on: November 04, 2013, 12:22:48 am »
Well , the plan was to ride over a Mountain and to head back toward the Tankwa Padstal for lunch.
 , was the
I have had my eye on this road up into a mountain kloof for sometime. It starts on the Bo-Wa Pad.
Thats on the westerly side and on the easterly side, I thought the other end of the road.
Well my Notebook wont run Google Earth and the road doesnt show on Mapsource or Trax for AFrica.

So , lets just go and ride it , well so we did.

The riders were :
1,Andy660
2.KtmKev
3.Heddels
4.Barry H
5.Vaalbaas
6.2StrokeDan
7.  Keith 12oo

Well done to Kevin 1200 on his GS for making it to the top of that  mountain and back down again,
Thar road was anything but noob friendly,

A long days ride , 409km , 22,5 Litres on my 23L tank , shew , just made it.

Many thanks guys for coming along , such a relaxed and laid back group to ride with,
I really enjoyed riding with u all.

So who has pics ?

As you know , Im a Mitas rider ,  but I put Karoo 3`s on as we thought we were going to use our bikes to support the Amageza , but were given a bakkie instead.

The ride exceptionally well on tar , very well on muddy roads and I had no  issues ridding up the mountain over the rocks and loose stones. on
I enjoy the and they work,
I couldnt get a 130 or a 140 so I put a 150

In the WC , If your in a group and you get to the gate first , you open the gate then wait for all to pass through , and you close the gate,That way all the gates get closed and everyone getas a turn.

WHILE WAITING , YOU GET TO PLAY WITH YOUR CAMERA

With 1500km on the Karoo 3s
