Isn't that so often the case EssBee    I used to come home at all hours of the night and thought it was lekker to drop a few gears so that that Cowley could sing.  Needless to say, the sleeping folks weren't so happy about that.  Today I would get out of bed and have a few harsh words to say if a youngster made the same racket  ;D

And regarding our dress code, it's not a good idea to take a stroll down memory lane.

I posted this pic somewhere else, but the leather pants and white tekkies are a case in point.   :P 8)

 :laughing4:

I'll share a "secret" : The Cape Town Traffic Dept. allocated a syndicate of cops to regularly patrol in Plumstead as there were so many complaints about my mates and I making 'geraas' etc etc in the neighbourhood.  We learnt this through a younger friend who had a CD185 who was stopped one night, and the cop thought he couldn't possibly be one of our crowd with his little bike, and mentioned this to him. Well...their timing was bad because my bike was in pieces with a gearbox issue, another guy was on a camp, another guy had his bike laid up for a respray, so there was very little activity.

"Ducktail"....mmm....nou het ek f-ol hare

Going past my dad's new Ford Escort.

Yip, that bike still brand new, the bottom of the frame and under the mudguard still shiny clean  ;D
