Your Grip on Handle bars over Technical Sections

I normally ride with 3 fingers on the handle bars while and two over brake and clutch, but when doing steep climbs especially rocky ones I find myself needing more grip on handle bars and as a result end up using 5 fingers.

This has proven to be dangerous at times when things go wrong as my hand becomes glued to throttle :lol8:

Question I have is do you guys use 3 or 4 fingers on the handle bars even on steep technical sections? I have tried 4 finger but my clutch just to stiff for that and confidence not there when I am doing steep rocky climbs with just 3 fingers on handle bars.
