Money, money, money.... always better if you use someone else's.

OK, the "no-news" is: I'm finalising a sponsor deal (as broadcasters require you sell about 60% of the show value for off-prime airtime before they sign). We have two sponsors that are interested and I've hired a inline producer to negotiate and button up the deal. We should know by end-August, then it's back on the road to complete series one in September and October. I was warned up front that these deals take up to six months to broker, which would put us, currently, two months AHEAD of schedule... hold thumbs.

As for the clips, I will have one by the weekend to upload to give more of a sense of where the show is headed. Trouble with random clips is the music - until the other deal is signed with the record label / distributor, I'm not allowed to 'broadcast' any of their tunes.

Hey, I know you dogs are itching to see more, and MTB, HARDY and I are even keener to hit the road again... but let's not put horse(power) before the cart...

I'll let you have to website soon too! The new clip I'll post in the South Africa / Detour thread...

Whoowooo
I've rukked it, I've plukked it, I've even dropped it... and the KLR is still in one piece...

Just phone ahead and make sure the pan is dry and that no rain is predicted, otherwise the 3 days might just become 1 week......ok that ain't to bad either.

Yes this is clearly a hijack.

The week of 29 September has a holiday in it (Wednesday) and I'm taking that whole week - hopefully cruising the Northern Cape (will see where to).

BUT the weekend leading up to it (23rd) thought of doing something at Die Dam in the Tankwa Karoo. Mini bash of sort.
Maybe stay 1 or 2 nights there - explore the park semi flower season still) and those who want to head up from there to Verneukpan and stay a night. Next day back to CT (I will be going further north after that).

Can't wait to see the end result - been following the thread for what seems like ages.  Good news, thanks!  :thumleft:

That was my dream!!!

But excellent, am SO looking forward to watching/buying the series - well done on putting it all together!!

One question - will we be allowed to "join" for sections of the trip? I tend to have some time (when at home), can't think of a more exciting way to spend two weeks...

Good luck lads - and safe travels!!!!
