Great stuff to hear about the horses, DL.

Looking at the old pics, I think those nags of yours will be relieved to hear they won't have to carry your current 105kg seeing the Bushlander is still mobile

Hehehe, down to 96kg but ja, I'm no Durban July jockey.

Do you not ride any longer? Polo is a killer on horses' tendons and joints but I guess you know that.

Haven't ridden for nigh on 40 years. Found the mechanised transport a lot friendlier (despite my old XT500 kicking me back on the odd occasion)

Actually I wasn't aware of the wear and tear on their joints but it stands to reason when they have to turn on a tickey to chase the ball

Oorweeg om n sonkrag pomp op te sit op daai gat
Daai windpomp loop nou weer mooi Ougat. Gooi 'n skaflike stroompie water en kry lekker wind innie skeppers. Anderdag as dit weer beter gaan kan hy dalk 'n sonpomp kry.

Ek het 2 Allpower pompe op gate agter op die plaas. Werk baie goed. Ek sou daarvan gehou het om Grundfos pompe in te sit maar hel, hulle is duur.

Jy beter saambring Woody anders hoop ek julle onthou nog die Weermagstorte. 3 minute totaal: 1 minuut water aan, 1 minuut water af dan seep jy orals, 1 minuut spoel jy af dan draf jy uit die stort uit.

Ek luister op die radio vanoggend ook die insetsel oordie droogte in die sentrale Karoo. Dit is defnitief nie vir sissies nie. Die stuk word toe nogal afgesluit met die nuus dat die weer ghoeroes niks vir die volgende tyd voorspel nie. Radio is nie baie bekend vir goeie nuus nie :patch:

Ek het vriende daar in Rietbon. Hulle sÍ ook darem dat die dorpe nog redelik water het, maar die bekommernis lÍ ook maar vlak in die omgewing

Hel Vaalbaas, ek wil dit nie meer waag om weervoorspelling te kyk nie. As ek net sien hoe ver vooruit is dit net helder sonskyn dae dan sak my moed sommer in my skoene.

Hier Aberdeen, Kendrew en Klipplaat se kant toe begin die vee en wild nou die gees gee wat bitter hartseer is. Was vandag daar by Bie gewees en dŠŠr is dit nog droŽr as hier! Daar sny hulle al noorsbome stukke vir die vee.

Wat sÍ daai radioprogram nog?

Al dryf die droogte mens tot drank is selfs Rum en Coke nou net in poeiervorm beskikbaar.

Weather sites not looking very promising down there, DL. I'll be passing through that area tomorrow on my way to CT and hopefully some rain will follow me from the South Coast
