whilst we have stocked 1200 LC accessories for some months now, we now have the full range of ROCKFOX accessories, including various crash bars you can carry outside to your bike to see how they would fit/look, etc.

Also stocking the radiator protectors, and obviously the headlight protectors, etc.

Cheers

Hi Guys

I have a question regarding the radiator protectors for the LC. Are there any BMW warranty issues due to fitment of radiator covers? Do these covers have a negative influence on the cooling?

Thanks

Het jy nou 'n ander bike?

Covers het geen negatiewe invloed nie.

The Rockfox Radiator guards have been installed on quite a few bikes already with no problems what so ever even on a hot day in slow traffic conditions. They were designed with air flow in mind.

As for the difference, there is a difference in the year models not specifically the Standard or Adventure.

On the 2014 models the shroud has a small plastic tab (2013 doesn't have it) that can push on the guards, even though our older versions fit this we have made a change to the new design to accommodate the tab.

As per your question about warranty's.

That is an extremely touchy subject for many people. BMW do not approve the fitment of any aftermarket accessories from any source (I have been told that even Touratech which is partly owned by BMW are covered and some say they are not.)

Example:

If you have radiator guards installed on your bike and it overheats, they may tell you that because you have the guards on the warranty will be void, or they may not. (you never can really tell when it comes to them)

Though you have a much higher chance of damaging the radiators than the bike over heating.

Just be warned.
