Hi Martin well done man your rig looks fantastic and I like the braai grid always around in the pictures.... Is it not wonderful not to have to worry about sand, mud etc anymore as the sidecar platform is so stable with the third wheel?
You can fit a steering damper to the front of your rig to help with the head shake in the sand if it bothers you that much, I don't want one on my rig as I find that if you are aware of it and hold on it's fine. The steering damper (old VW kind) tends to make the steering under normal conditions a bit harder and I do not like that...

The KLR setups shown here are mine. The black rig is currently sitting sitting in storage in my garage. The basic rig is approximately R30k but these are very basic units.

I see you off to the States soon?

I have left the black rig completely standard (ie as it was bought and made by Inder) the green one I am busy playing with, I am currently trying a torsion stub axle type suspension on the car so will see how that works out, if not I will just replace the original set up with new bushes etc.

That's roughly where I'm aiming with my build, but I'm adding some extras, so estimate I'll end closer to R40k for starters. Then comes the farkles
