Yes the title does seem a bit contradictory because most will say a comfort seat should be soft, but my mate who rides a 690 recently fractured his coccyx so a soft seat of any shape is out of the question.
He got hold of a second seat of which I removed the cover and foam. This seat was shaped from the pan up using zero memory, closed cell PU foam. High density for levelling the pan 5 - 10mm thick and medium density for the top- and side layers of the seat.
The seat area has been widened and flattened out and the overall seat height increased by approx 20mm. The middle of the seat area was hollowed slightly to further reduce pressure on the coccyx.
