DR200 odometer

My bikes odometer and tripmeter has stopped working, speedo is still working. Can I open the unit and try and fix it

Depends which DR200 you have?

If it's the simple round speedo (Djebel and Agri versions) it's sealed (crimped closed). I would not recommend to open it since you won't like what you find inside. A bloody stripped plastic gear, in a pressed frame, even if you manage to disassemble the frame you won't find a good gear and even if you do you will struggle with assembling. Re - crimping the old lens frame will look shite - ish unless you spend amounts of time on making lekker little tools and using them making it cheaper and easier to simply buy a new speedo.
