The secret Trail
« on: December 16, 2013, 10:04:33 pm »

So I was invited to Join Andre for a ride into the Cockscomb Mountains along a secret path.
 :peepwall:
We had an awesome ride in the rain, some hair-raising sections crossing the river with quite steep embankments.
Then we got to a crossing that was was both too steep, and too deep, so after must checking and hiking up river a bit, we had to turn around and redo those scary crossings.
I was quite proud of myself, I expected to fall off a few times, but managed to do it.
Then on an easy stretch, I hit a rock and got dumped quite hard hehe.
Got a bit trapped under the bike for a while, but then got clever and managed to get the bike up enough to get my foot out.
Elandsriver road was very wet and slippery in places, made for some stressful riding in the rain.
But the rain in the path area was fine, only short pieces of mud.

a great ride indeed.

I think rather fugly and overkill actually on the svelte Italian stallion - that is why I got the Nomad bum tank for longer hauls.
