sorry about your bike.

This is why I recommend guys have pressure pads strategically placed around garage and home coupled to a 1000m siren, at least while he is panicking to get out ones garage one can shoot the intruder and bury him in the compost heap ::)

Thanks everyone for condolences - Please keep an eye out for your own bikes and keep them insured if you can! I took mine off insurance because it's mos a cheap donkiekar. But the thought of having to fork out R40k plus extras is turning my stomach... :(

You don't know what you have until you lose it.
You guys should go for the basic cover at least. On my 2007 KLR the premium is R42 a month.
It covers third parties, fire, theft and hi-jacking against my KLR. But except for fire damage, it does not cover any damage to my bike, that why it is so cheap.

That's horrible! I see in the video, there is a second bloke peeping around the wall. Any idea how many there were and how they did it?
We have had a similar run of bike thefts here in Springs. A friend around the corner from me woke up and chased them away. They were at his Boulevard and sons Dakar. Got away empty handed but they were 3 other attemts that same night!! ???
