DRZ400 starting/idling

My DRZ used to start very easy(choked or warm) without using any throttle. But now in the last week or two I have to give a bit of throttle to start it, also some times when I ride slowly and close the throttle it will die, this can sometimes be very annoying.
Any ideas what the problem is, will simply adjusting the idling screw fix it?
