St Patricks-on-the-Hill Chapel in Hogsback.

Built 1935, destroyed by fire in 2010,
and rebuilt in 2010.

This photo is from Feb. 2011, when I visited Hogsback on my 1100GS.
Unfortunately I cannot find any of my early photos from the 1960s and 1970s when it was in its original form

Nederduits Gereformeerde Kerk - Franschhoek
Built: 1847
Situated on the main road running through Franschhoek, named after the French Huguenots who fled to the Cape after religious persecution in 1688. They brought with them knowledge of viniculture and settled to make wine.
In 1923 a new organ was purchased at a cost of £1,200. In 1926, the presbytery was completely renovated.
From 1929 on services in the church were held in Afrikaans instead of Dutch. The first Afrikaans church council minutes date from December 1929 and from 1933 Afrikaans Bibles were used and from 1937 used with an Afrikaans Psalter.
In 1967 and 1968 the building was extensively restored, with restorations completed on 16 and 17 November 1968.
An earthquake occurred a year later causing only minor damage to the building due to the restoration work completed the previous year. The building was declared a National Memorable in 1972

The roof construction, looking like an inverted wooden boat fascinated me.

Wellington Moederkerk
Established: 1840
Situated at the south end of Church Street, Wellington.
The original church building was extended by the construction of two wings in 1861, and the installation of galleries in 1874. The construction of the tower in 1891 according to the plan of Charles Freeman and the raising of the roof in 1928 completed the church.
There is a seated statue of Dr. Andrew Murray, a minister there from 1871 – 1910, in front of the church.

Pniël Congregational Church
Situated on the R310 about 12km NE of Stellenbosch towards the R45
The church was apparently designed by Leon di Blique, an artist from Stellenbosch.

I could not find more information about this beautifully situated church.
