Very nice - I think sanctuary does count.

And this isn't a competition, so there's no rules.
Just nice photos of 'places of worship'.

The helmet is a bonus!

02/02/12 - RIP Glen - the Arrow of Elliot and the little man with the big heart that truly was larger than life.

You have touched us and left us better for having known you - even if it was only briefly.

For grabbing the moment and living the day It's been way too early that you were taken away

What was going through my mind when I was looking at all these awesome photos in this, and other threads, was that there is almost enough material for a coffee-table book on the country.

"South Africa on two wheels - Through Wild Dog Eyes"

One thing that hit me was a feeling of deep love for the land - something I think we all feel, and that you are far more aware of when you out there on two wheels.

I am a late starter - bought a bike the first time in my fifties - and it sometimes feels like I am seeing, and smelling, the country for the first time after having driven past it for fifty years.

Not a good shot, but Salamanga has this cool "church" or temple.

That pic from Ryperd of the church in Bultfontein:
That is such a common design. I know of at least 3 others that looks exactly like that.
Be careful of the words you say.
And keep them soft and sweet.
For you never know from day to day.
Which ones you'll have to eat.

The first link Eisbein posted is correct. Southern Mozambique.
The second link looks to be in India somewhere.

I love Hogsback, we have churches "chapels" at home which sat about 20, our Patron Saint is David,(lots of other stories but not for here) The "CATHEDRAL" at St Davids seats a few hundred, but St Davids is by far the smallest City in the UK population 2000?
