A group of 12 dogs recently stayed here during a flyfishing adventure. The owners, Brian and Linn are very friendly people and went out of their way to accomodate us.
Accomodation is available in a beautiful sandstone farmhouse or in a number of surrounding cotages. I stayed in the fully equipped and very neat farmhouse and really enjoyed its old-world charm. It holds a 3-star rating from the tourism grading council
At R190-00 an evening (which includes your rod fee) it is real value for money considering the spectacular views on offer and the good fishing to be had in the long section of the river or the dam.
So, whether you are just looking for a place to chill while exploring Clarens and Golden Gate or purposefully targeting trout, De Molen comes highly recommended to fellow wild dogs.
