ZemTV plugin and then go to the live sports.  You can then browse the streaming services and find Sky Sports.  The rugby and cricket is on Sky.

Kodi is setup on pi in living room.
MySql server setup with videos and series folders on windows pc
Can connect multiple kodi devices to mysql server that shares one database for all instead of each device that must update its own database and decreasing the storage space on the device.
.....
The Kodi on Pi is all ok, movies in the movies tab,,and series in the TV Shows tab.

One problem now I added a Kodi Android device and it show all movies and tv shows in the movie tab....(all seasons and episodes and movies are now bundled together) How do i split them.

As far as I remember you can change content type of a folder.  In the Kodi video section choose Files and then browse to the location.  Then right-click or click-and-hold to bring up the context menu.  I think there you can choose "Change Content Type" or something similar.

The other add-on to use on KODI is SportsDevil using LSHunter.

I also use that, but mostly as a last resort or if I need to find out which TV Channel is broadcasting the sport.  LSHunter is great, the streams are just not HD or close to good quality.

Pilot friend of mine bought a Roku Premiere+ last week but because he have just Apple phones and stuff, that is not so user friendly to install,  he want to sell it again as he bought a Amazon Fire Stick.

Price R1590, brand new, one week old.

So my little TV box arrived on Monday.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/122249874530?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=422651306222&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
R530.00 worth of PLEASURE.

I only have a 2M radio internet from Neotel but it does it just fine.
Some of the HD programs buffer, but I do not need that high quality right now.

I can now watch WHAT I WANT and WHEN I WANT.  Even did some email and googling there right in front of my TV. :thumleft:

Not forced to watch replay after replay that DSTV FORCES you to watch.  And no ADS,,,,,jipee.

Next step... get a 10 M line and then the whole house will have little boxes to watch what they want.

My son is impressed with the Android 6 on the box and his game quality is 100% he said.

Very happy

I have not read everything on this system yet.

So who has an external computer / hard drive setup to be used like a PVR ?

That's really almost like asking how long is a piece of string.    :P

If you've got some technical ability, I'd go for a Raspberry Pi 3 (you have to buy the board, a case, a power supply and a 8Gb micro SD memory card).  You can get it from RS Components:
http://za.rs-online.com/web/generalDisplay.html?id=raspberrypi

Then you can install LibreElec on it:
https://libreelec.tv/downloads/

Installation instructions are on their site.

Once set up and connected to your WiFi (you would need a USB mouse, keyboard and a HDMI monitor or TV for this), then the fun starts as you need to install some plugins for Kodi (the media player that LibreElec boots into).  Thare are lots of different opinions on which plugins etc to install.  I installed the following (just google "kodi " and plugin name to get instructions on how to install:
- Phoenix
- Exodus
- ZemTV
- SportsDevil

And then lastly if you've got an Android phone, install Yatse as a remote control app for Kodi (so that you don't have to use the mouse to control the media center).  For iPhones there is a Kodi Remote app, but it sucks when compared to Yatse.

Tx but no thanks. I am actually a bit technically minded but that sound like a lot of hassles? Maybe I should just plug my macbook into the tv?  :o

You dont really need the power Supply, I connected mine to the TV's USB, so it powers on and off with the tv

Don't look back, that's not where you're going.
