Which tyre combo on KTM 640 Adv
« on: January 21, 2014, 05:13:03 pm »
Hey guys.  Don't want to start a "Which tyre/brand is best", just want to know if any of you used the Mitas E07 on the 640, and if it can be recommended.  I used it on my previous bike, and was quite impressed.

Thx

Depending on how hard you wanna ride her.

If just gravel highways stay with the E07's other wise move to E09's

Mostly commuting, and the odd trip to the Baviaans in April.  Thanks for the input!

Hi Mickey,

I have E07's on mine and am super happy with them so far.
I do mostly off-road (single track) and a bit of gravel highway/tar

TJ is correct....stick to E07 front & back for general use. When you do the trip maybe stick a Conti TKC80 or Mitas E09 upfront...  :thumleft:

13 000km of commuting and odd dirt rides. Should get about another 1000km out of it then it will have about 2mm thread left.

Pirelli MT21 front
Mitas E07 rear

Hey Mickey

from what I hear the best tyres are those that keep you upright and on the road!  :peepwall:

Any decent knob in front.

T63
E09
XT644
C21

If doing lots of tar TKC80 (find the handling very good, both gravel and tar.)

Back

E07
Sahara 3
K60
