Report back on my fuel starvation problem on 1190 R: turns out it was a fuel filter blockage from residue in the fuel tank. Apparently a known KTM problem on other models as well. So, new fuel filter, totally sorted, hope it lasts. While my bike was in, as a recall upgrade, the dealer inserted a stick on aluminum heat shield to the back of the front half of the seat. THis to address the problem of heat buildup under the seat. Well far from helping, this has actually made the problem much worse, and I mean much worse. Seems now to direct the heat out in a concentrated fashion to the middle of the seat, where it then escapes directly onto your inner thighs. So i have removed it and back to what it was. I never regarded it as a big issue anyway. I have also installed a Wings silencer and I can tell you I am very impressed with it.
