RESOP

Shame Eisbein ....I see you still having that kraaifontein jealousy problem ?

Ok - so let me get this straight.

1st Keith comments about it.

Then Droff comments in a way that could be interpreted as an insult (good one btw droff)

Then Paramed calls you a loser.

Then Uitljie calls you a poser.

Then I post a hand made logo for a home made racing team and all of a sudden you comment only to me and try to get personal? It does seem that you have a problem with me rather than the other way around...

Unlike you (seemingly) I don't have to live in the right place or have the latest and greatest to be comfortable with who I am.

And besides - I can move out of Kraaifontein and then you'll still be an idiot.

To quote the following article about the 2007 GS Challenge: "Enter RaKaD (Dakar in reverse) George Scola, Grant Hendriks, Russel Rathbone on Adventures, I know these guys , good people."

So it seems like Freak knows these guys and has some respect for them. Freak, can you confirm whether hayleyscomet is for real?  ???

Life is about BMWs and living in Durbanville - didn't you know.....

(Normally the Durbanville people with the superiority complexes stay in that area between D'ville and Kraaifontein - you know, the one with the D'ville municipality account and Kraaifontein postal codes - don't worry - they are all CY  ;D ;D ;D

A snob is a snob, doesn't matter what they ride or where they live...

Leave the man alone.

You guys started the name calling, not him.

Who cares if he has a RAKAD sticker on his bike and gear?
We have Wilddog stickers. Are our stickers any less lame?
Each to his own.

This thread reminds me of primary school playground intimidation tactics.
Pick on the guy that doesn't run with the rest.

True.

But this one doesn't run with the rest not because the rest excludes him and think they are better, HE excludes the rest and is the one thinking they aren't good enough.

I hear what you say and I know you are right.

There's just something in me (and I know its my issue) that will never keep quiet in the face of classism and discrimination...

Granted.
But his classism in another (old) thread does not give us the right to climb into his character on every subsequent thread.

His post here helped the original poster to make up his mind as to the Dakar sticker issue.
Unlike us who have hijacked this thread to bits with unwarranted jibes and insults.

You are right.

Terrible hijack at the origional poster's expense.

I should have responded to the climb into my character in a PM.

Sorry...

But you are right - personal tiffs or the defending thereof shouldn't 'desecrate' another thread.
As for personal opinion ? I definitely have one...
