Our group currently use a version of the DAKAR Logo...well we actually we call ourselves RAKAD

Kaboef I hear what you are saying and Eisbein as well, although I must agree with what Eisbein is saying. If you read this thread from the start you will find that the WD's are being their normal self with the banter and advice then behold who jumps right into your face ? when it is stated that our group uses ........... on a WD forum that in itself invites this type of reaction or maybe I am missing the point ?

Ummmm, a quick question... where does the Dakar logo originate? If there is a valid TM then it really does belong to the owner thereof.

I have really no idea here - both Katoom and Beem have Dakar models - and heck, it is after all the name of the town... I would be very interested to know.

In fact, I will scoot onto Google and see what he says.

The basic Idea Behind the Rakad vs Dakar Logo was the following....

If you look at the Dakar logo you can the Bedouin man is facing you....

The design was altered to show the Bedouin man's back of head with the idea of putting it on the Back of our Helmets ...and then the suggestion was made to reverse the Letters and we Liked it.

SO thats the history....we are a small group of guys that love riding everyday of the week if we can.
Mainly we get out on Saturdays ....that way we can ride from sunup to sundown with out getting into too much crap from from the wives and the we have the whole of sunday with them.

Breakfast is and essential part of any ride we plan...along with Lots and lots of Dirt and Water.
SAND always comes into the picture...and as much as I love the stuff I always end up having to to pick the heavy Bitch up

So that's Rakad....Yes yes we do the whole BMW thing and admit mostly we only get to ride with BMW's
However we have had non BMW bikes with us and truely do welcome anyone on anybike anytime.

My fantasy stops at the 1150GSA for a couple of reasons, but I have to say the 1200GSA looks awesome.
