I am not sure if this should be posted in this section but here is a pic of my week old 2014 ABS model.I have only ridden it back from RAD so I am still very new to the bike and can't make any judgements at this stage.I also haven't ridden since July last year.

You have to stop and switch it off on the dashboard but you can buy/get a dongle to switch it off permanently.Haven't spent much time with the bike so still have to learn some of the short cuts.

I paid R104 000,but then one has to add ;crash bars,tail plate,exhaust,head light protector.This game has become expensive!!

Dwerg:I also sold my 2013 800gs last year.Not because I did not like the Beast but I prefer smaller bikes.I have also a damaged spine which needs constant care.My idea is to do daily trips in the dirt and tour in my Jeep where I can include my wife....well that's the plan.

Just had a chat to Hilton about upgrading the suspension (I need to for my weight)- he said that not springs are available for this bike yet - wtf WP and KTM?

BLK - I am big and fat - even if I loose weight (which I need to do) I would still be to heavy for the standard suspension

Nice bike, also have one very happy with it, I must just say to upgrade it into an adventure is quite expensive if I had known I would have probably gone with the 990 from the start but that being said its much of a muchness both has their pro's and con's depending on the aplication the only thing that bothers me is that I cant take the misses with on the ocasional breakfest run

Bruce is that the bike you rode when I took you to Parys? It is very nice. I rode one on saturday and was very impressed. Its a wild one that. Loads of fun but I prefer a 990.

Teapot:it is the bike.Its a little short on fuel and carrying capacity.If you are prepared to trailer it to distant places and organise your onboard tools etc it can't be beat in the dirt!!It is Not a touring bike.Its a road legal mx bike to get you from one tar rd to the next.

That's for sure. Wind buffeting at 140 plus is hectic. I had to hold on tight. And it still wanted to go. Don't how you did it on our way back on the dreaded N1 with that wind.
