2. JURISDICTION:
Held under the General Competition Rules and Standing Supplementary Regulations of Motorsport South Africa (MSA), these Supplementary Regulations are final instructions which may be issued to competitors and any relevant MSA Circulars of 2014, which will take precedence to these SR's. These regulations must be read and understood by all competitors.

4. EVENT AND STATUS:
Regional / Club
This event will be know as "BOTRIVER HEIGHTS", and is the WCJOC/WCOC second round of the Regional and Club Championship for Junior and Senior Motorcycles and Quads
Venue is situated:
Take N2 towards Caledon , +/- 6km past Botriver Town, turn left on R43 in direction Villiersdorp, continue 3.5km and turn left onto Hawston View road with venue 1 km on right hand side.

5. PROGRAMME OF EVENTS: 
Documentation & Self Scrutineering Documentation will start at 6:00 and will end on 07:30 only for those who are racing in the morning and at 11:00 till 12:00 only for those who will be racing in the afternoon.  Documentation needs to be done at the stipulated time to ensure that we have all our starting orders correct before the race starts
Riders Briefing 15 min before the Start of each race
Time Bars Riders to be informed at riders briefing  - as decided by the COC.
Prize Giving Two Prize giving's; As soon as possible after results were posted of all morning races pending any protests and half an hour after results were posted of all afternoon classes pending any protests.

Competition numbers for all classes will be those as issued by Motorsport S.A (Head Office) only.

10. ENTRIES:
All entries are to be submitted on a manual entry form. For an entry to be valid, a completed official entry form must be accompanied with proof of payment and be submitted via email or fax before the closing date to the details below.

(WCOC) Q1 Quads:  16 years and over. Any capacity quad may be used. (3 HRS)
(WCOC) Senior Quads:  Any capacity quad, competitors 35 years and over  (3 HRS)
(WCOC) Ladies Quads (Snr):  Unlimited capacity, 16 years & older (2 LAPS) (Allowed to enter a Regional Class 3 HRS)
(WCOC) Social Quads (Snr):  Quads of unrestricted capacity - 16 yrs and older (2 LAPS)

15. GENERAL RACE INFORMATION:
DOCUMENTATION AND SCRUTINEERING:


ALL LICENSES WILL BE CHECKED AT DOCUMENTATION, NO LICENSE, NO RIDE, NO QUESTIONS Refer to Programme of Events above
Self Scrutineering will apply - Attached Self Scrutineering form, which must be completed prior to Documentation and signed by the competitor.  Completed Self Scrutineering Form needs to be submitted to Documentation with the presentation of your licence.
Random scrutineering of bikes and quads will be carried out
  Presentation of MSA Licence compulsory
All riders to ensure 2014 licenses, correct numbers on bikes/quads and medical clearance forms for anyone on the injury register

All riders must be present at the briefing at the stipulated time and venue. Please refer to SSR 335 of the 2014 MSA Non Circuit Handbook - Senior Offroad Section

OFFICIAL NOTICE BOARD: At Race Control

FINISH AND ROUTE CHECK CONTROL CARDS: Helmet stickers to be handed in with Event Evaluation Form at end of race.
SWEEPS AND RECOVERY: It is intended that there will be sweep vehicles on all racing sections to pick up competitors who are injured or stranded.

Riders are requested NOT TO LEAVE THEIR BIKES/QUADS if they breakdown.
RESULTS: Results will be posted as soon as possible after the event at Race Control on the notice board pending any protests

Awards will be made in accordance to SSR 324 of the 2014 MSA Non Circuit Handbook - Senior Offroad Section  and SSR 356 of the 2014 MSA Non Circuit Handbook - Junior Offroad Section

ROUTE: To be advertised at Riders briefing

RETIREMENT AND INCIDENT REPORT FORMS: Incident report form to be submitted as soon as possible. If unable to do so, due to being stuck / injured on the route, competitors should phone the COC in the interim.

REFRESHMENTS: Will be available at the venue

16. POSTPONEMENT, ABANDONMENT OR CANCELLATION:
The Organisers reserve the right to postpone, abandon or cancel the meeting or any part thereof.  In the event of any of the above, the Competitor/Entrant has no right to claim against the Promoter/Organiser in respect of any loss or damage he/she may incur, other than that specified in GCR 244.  The meeting will not be postponed, abandoned or cancelled without the consent of the Jury President in accordance with GCR 152.


17. ADVERTISING:
It is condition of entry that in addition to the advertising referred to in GCR 246, competing motorcycles shall also display the advertising, if any, as stipulated in the Championship and specifications for the class for which the motorcycle is entered.


18. POINTS:
Points will be scored as per Western Cape circular: WC/2 and WC/21


19. PROTESTS:
All protests and appeals will be dealt with as set out in GCR; Appendix R, Parts IX and X. Protests outside the time frames shall not be entertained.


20. TRANSPONDERS:
Transponders are compulsory. Timing will be done via electronic transponder and can be collected at documentation at Race Control. New transponders will be used and are to be purchased once off at R100 . These transponders belong to the rider. 



21. RIGHTS OF THE CLERK OF COURSE:
The Clerk of the Course and/or the Jury of the Meeting have the right to call a halt to an event due to "force majeure" for any of the following, but not limited to, reasons:
i) Extreme weather conditions
ii) Serious or fatal accident
iii) Sections of the route being deemed impassable owing to recent extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
iv) Dangerous circumstances for riders involving spectators or bystanders.
v) Any other circumstances which the Clerk of the Course, in his sole discretion, deems to be dangerous or prejudicial to competitors.
vi) In the event of an event being halted as above or for any other reason, the Clerk of the Course will inform all marshal points to stop competitors. The riders will be scored back to the last timing point they passed before the event was stopped.

22. CROSSING OF PUBLIC /DISTRICT ROADS:
As the organizer we have fully acquainted ourselves with SSR 341 of the MSA Non Circuit Handbook - Senior Offroad Section with regards to crossing of public/district roads. 
We the organizers are also aware and have acquainted ourselves with the provisions of Section 317 of the Road Traffic Act and confirm that the event officials have been made aware of the above section.  By allowing the event to proceed we accept that all requirements are complied with and where applicable all relevant permissions are in place.

23. GENERAL:
 SAFETY PLAN FOR THE EVENT WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM THE RACE SECRETARY, AS PER THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE SAFETY & RECREATION ACT 2 OF 2010

Final Instructions will be issued at Riders Briefing. The Organisers reserve the right to alter the departure and finishing times of the event, or alter the route, as well as the starting and scoring method if found to be necessary
