I am selling my 2006 model TE 610. The bike rolled of the assembly line at the MV Agusta factory in Varese Italy on the 11th of June 2006 at 11:29 am. First registration done in February 2007 in SA. I am the third owner of the motorcycle after it was imported into the country. It was previously owned by an elderly gent from KZN, JacquesM on the forum and myself. This was the first production run of the updated TE 610. This production year featured a FCR 41mm carburettor and fully adjustable front suspension that fell away with the 2008 and newer models (they also switched to fuel injection in that year).

Extras include :

  • Cycra handguards
  • Motosportz skid plate from the USA
  • Leo Vince X3 pipe
  • LED rear light
  • KTM footpegs, wider than stock
  • Dirtbike-gear fender toolbag from the USA
  • DRC folding mirrors

Updated parts :

  • Cam chain and rocker bushes replaced
  • Clutch basket washers replaced

The two items listed above are the main issues on a 610 so they are sorted.

  • Original owners manual
  • Second set of keys
  • Original toolkit
  • Rear rack, not fitted at present but can be seen in pictures
  • Original stock passenger pegs
  • Original stock footpegs with rubber inserts
  • All other original parts that were removed from the bike, including the stock silencer

The way I ride I average about 22-24km/l and the best I ever got was 28km/l. Fuel range is +- 250km. It cruises 120km/h with ease and I had it up to 168km/h GPS speed with some to go. It was serviced about 800km ago with Castrol 4T synthetic oil. Oil changes are listed at every 5000km although I always changed it more frequently. The odo stands at just over 19 000km. The bike weighs 140kg. Some minor scratches on some of the plastics but only visible if you look closely, this bike was used offroad like it was supposed to.  Pure joy to ride offroad, I have often ridden with 450's and it tired me out less than the CRF I had because of the forgiving suspension. Get back on the road and the gearing is spot on which allows you to cruise with ease. It will need a new rear tyre. The bike is fully paid up and is registered in my name, I have all the relevant paperwork for it. I'm situated in PTA East. For me there is no bike on the market that can replace this one, I'm selling as the money will be usefull somewhere else.
