An interesting dilema
« on: February 24, 2014, 10:01:52 am »
So my son bought an R1 in December, and registered it in his name on the 17th.
Last week the seller calls him and says he cant register his new bike as he has
e-toll invoices outstanding for the months of Jan and Feb for the R1. So they are
definitely not updating their system with eNatis on a regular basis, and they are
withholding licenses for outstanding tolls.

You've never been able to transfer ownership with fines on the car/bike

You can however renew your license
It catches my dreams when I ride it.

For grabbing the moment and living the day It's been way too early that you were taken away

This is not the first case I hear of something like this happening, it seems to me that they arent updating their database.
Vehicles are bought and sold daily and they dont bother updating the db??  ::) Doomed for failure

I had fines on my BMW 1200 GSA and sold it to a mate and had no hassles. Not sure the reason is because he registered in NW in the fines was in GP?

I call BULLSHIT!!!  I have sold vehicles, bought vehicles and registered them , renewed licenses over the last month, with the full knowledge that they had outstanding fines and e-toll bills.... nobody said nothing, zip nada.

They inform you at the counter that you have outstanding fines, I say that it news to me as I have not receaved any fines per registered mail as prescribed by the Aarto regulations in the last 90 days there for I believe said fines to be invalid. The friendly person behind the counter shakes their head and prints my license. No problem.   O0

Have ha a few rude sms messages, so there are definitely invoices attached to my car, yet no problem renewing.
