Glad you are fine. Sorry about the bike.

I hope the English was apologetic! He must have been surprised as heck to meet a Welshman saying "Ogof Ffynnon Ddu!" or something to that effect ;D

Sorry to hear Welsh  !  Its a good thing you are so heavy .  ;) ..and the bike too , of course , but ja agree with Dan ,those pots are magic, saved my legs a few times. Its always the first thing the cars knock. Last one hit me from behind , the little crash bar behind the pot caught the brunt of crash and bent right in. . I made the mistake of stopping at the stop street , and the car thought I wasn't  . Didn't have feeling in my leg for a few months , but missed having my leg taken off by about 1 cm . Very pleased it ended well for you and your leg , all things considering.  Good luck with sorting out the bike :thumleft:

Word of advice, make your accident report to the police, and advise the car hire company of your intent to claim. Hopefully you are insured and your insurance company will take up the matter on your behalf. A friend of mine had a similar problem and wrote off his car. The hire car being driven by a UK visitor was covered by the hire insurance but the driver refused to take responsibility (even though there were witnesses galore) and promptly left the country. My mate was left 100k poorer as his car was not comprehensively insured (stoopid I know!) so was never paid out.

So Welsh says to the Englishman .... This is going to hurt you more than it's going to hurt me ....

So how's the English patient? :laughing4:
