DR650SE bash plates
« on: February 26, 2014, 07:43:38 am »
I will be making a few more but since the bike has been discontinued it will most likely be the last batch.

They are NOT just a cheap piece of aluminium sheet. Feel free to look for the old thread with the pictures.

It will be the later, fully flex mounted 4mm version.

If you're interested please let me know and I might be able not to end up with just one (yours) too few :D

Price will be R 2,800

They should be ready in about three weeks.

Hopefully next week all will be welded, electroplated (without ugly black spots) and so on.

Sorry about the long wait. Bear in mind I'm not a professional manufacturer but do this on the side.

I have been waiting for a set of handle bar raisers for many weeks. And yes, I have paid.

I reckon a no show/delivery will hurt his business more than it will hurt my pocket!

I will give him 1 more week.

I have bought a lot of stuff from him over the years for my DR 650s. Never had a problem before.

Am disappointed with his current level of service, or lack there off.

The bash plates are getting close to completion.

The handle bar raisers are on my desk. I have to take them to the post office today.

I recently had to deal with very serious things in my life which did require my full attention. I apologise for having to neglect work and business.

Well done le cap

That was not exactly my f...up but a mess caused by a whole seller of one component who kept me in suspense for weeks.
The solution was also mere luck as I managed to find an alternative supplier of the same component.

As soon as I had filed my parts to fit the slightly redesigned ::) sourced components I speed mailed it off.

I am busy collecting all the bits and pieces. Computer time is limited. Sorry I still use a Sonim XP1 and ride a DR650. No smart phone. No fuel injection.

If anything is not ready yet I will at least extort a final delivery date.
