If he can do that on a 1190 Adv, imagine what he can do on a proper enduro.  :patch:

Chris Birch is a multiple Roof of Africa, Romaniacs and other Hard Enduro Champion...

He comes to SA a couple of times a year to do training.  I can strongly recommend attending one of his courses  :thumleft:

What can he teach us ???  Chris gets his riding tips from our Riding tips and training threads. :eek7:

This thread is not about the rider but the bike.

Exactly why I did not fear to take the GSA into Bobbejaans. I knew I will be the softy in the twosome, not the bike.

Maybe some other 'dogs' should read this thread more closely. Funny, 2SD, Blazes, BigDom comes to mind, although 2SD changed his mind somewhat later.  :peepwall:

Before you all cream your pants, bear in mind this is Chris Birch on a photoshoot with KTM. Those shots were repeated time and time again to get that video compiled perfectly.
Never less, still pretty awesome, just wish I could see the fails as well  :o

  • Liberalism is the ideology of Western suicide.
Baie mooi om te sien alhoewel die 1190 net nie vir my "reg" lyk soos die ouer Ktm's as adventure bike nie.

I actually feel bad putting down somebody like youself, especially in the face of the effort you made going up Baboons, BUT I have certainly not changed my mind about big trailies, and where they can go.
One rider, one machine........big bikes go nowhere really technical.

Of course, Explore, if you differ, then I have just the road for you to go and do on your GS1200 :peepwall: :peepwall: :peepwall:

A friend of mine sent me this today, average Joe's riding big bikes on some fairly technical terrain.

Enjoy the fact that they never really lose their sense of humor.

But that is some seriously awesome riding by Mr Birch.

And yet it still reminds me of the old American movies where you have this scene of a huge Cadillac "chasing" through a series of twisties, hubcaps flying. :imaposer:

Yes, but did you notice that he had to do it all standing up so he didn't get his arse roasted by the exhaust. :pot:
