I have known Buddy for a while and since he bought his bike I have been looking after the mechanical side for him , of course not everything was done at once but is rather an ongoing project .
So to date the following have been fitted and it is probably the closest to what I would want in an XRL .
First up was removing the original taillight and installing an XRR unit with an LED tail and brake light unit to illuminate affairs , at the same time I did initial airbox mods and carburettor rejetting .
A short while later the oil cooler was installed , what a pleasure , easy to install and it dropped oil temperature an appreciable amount , definitely a good investment .
Along the way Buddy fitted the Acerbis fuel tank , alternate footpegs and the DRC Zeta handguards with integrated indicators and a Hyde skidplate and screen .
The last bit of work done was the installation of an FMF PowerBomb header as well as the FMF Q4 silencer , of course this also involved further airbox mods and more jetting changes , apart from doing minor damage to the numberplate the pipe was a straight fit , and then while I was busy I installed a set of smaller indicators for the rear .
There are a few more things in the pipeline , but I will update this as and when more work or additions are done .
