Meanwhile Hanno and myself stayed in Camp and Hanno had to make a short jean pant from a long jean pant because it was hot!
The afternoon's return had a broken KTM and lots of stories in tow
Franna decided to demolish his bike and supply some entertainment to the other guys.

The evening brought lots of entertainment, good food and most guys crashed at 10
Some went bundu walking in the dark and apparently encountered the impala and some giraffe not far from camp
I think most of the game trekked to the opposite side of the farm for the w/e
I think that most of the impala would react positively on the word Po35 if you call them by it just because it was repeated so much over the course of the w/e

I specifically did not take a picture of Mr Hardy the next morning cause he looked worse than a hungry baby on a wooden tit...............when he attacked the water the next morning! Well done for leaving early :thumleft: If I remember your words correctly: If I get onto dirt right now I'll probably not make it to Pta - slab for me!

What a weekend and can you believe it Speswillie only made a slight appearance on Friday evening. I was so glad about that, it allowed me to enjoy the outride on Saterday.

The little Honda impressed more than I anticipated and for the conditions I think it was the right choice to leave the SE at home, did miss the power of the SE when the guys came gunning passed.

Picked up a small oil leak lucky nothing serious and I could finish the out ride on Saturday by just topping up the oil. I took a decision for safety sake to trailer the bike back on Sunday at one stage I was contemplating if there would be space for a mechanical sound bike with an oil leak on the trailer as it was farm buying season all around me, this winter we will have no problem to go hunting.
New game farm owners and some now own more than one farm in the area are Smokes, Frana, Swifty, Boer to mention a few. :pot:

Thank you to all it was a real great weekend until the next time  :thumleft:
Bender on the Run that is just all KTM fun!

So where was I:

After Swifty's crash, we all continued to the main dirt road again along the rest of the sandy two spoor road.  Everybody was reminded to take it a little easier after realising how quicikly things can go wrong.   This section of the main dirt road was so badly flooded for Kilometers on end, so much so that we took a little detour through bush, weaving amongst the mudpuddles, thorntrees and ruts.  This caused endless fun, and was way better than the slippy snotty stuff that used to be the road.

I pulled over to get a photo of one such sections, but cellphones takes crappy photos, period.

And have I mentioned how much I liked the Husky yet?  I am sounding like Grrrrr....

Next stop we meet up for a quick breather, and then high tail it again to Rooiberg.

At Rooiberg we stop at Koekepan.  Some of the guys head straight to the farm after the refuel, and some of us stay behind for a quick snack and long and cold beers.  Bliss.

Just couple of random shots.

And this is where my weekend went little wrong.

Redrider and Bender shoots ahead, and I follow.  I let them get some distance between us, because despite all the rain, there is quite a bit of dust kicked up and it's slowly but surely getting dark.

Cruising nicely at about 110km/h I have a front tyre blow out on a straight solid piece of dirt road.

I go down really hard to the right of the bike, and hit the ground solidly with a bodyslam.  I had no time to react whatsoever, no time for braking or accelarate, Nothing.

BAM!

Luckilly Smokes hits the brakes in time, and goes down and slides his bike lowside to prevent riding over me.  He stops so close that his rear tyre actually hits me on the back of the helmet.  Tx Smokes.   :thumleft:

Banged up and bike a little bit cockeyed, Smokes and Ploegie head off to the farm to get the trailer and back up vehicle.

Mark Hardy stays behind with me and we spend our time walking over to the river in flood.

My knee is properly busted and so is my right shoulder.

Because Franna got stuck in the river with the bakkie, we waited quite some time before they picked  us up.

By the time they get there, Mark Hardy has helped me to fit a new front tube.  But because the  brhandlebars are cockeyed, we load the husky on the trailer.

Overall damage:

Scew handlebars
Broken footrest bracket bolts
Broken brake lever toe piece
Some new scratches on the plastics
Missing Rear indicator.

And that was that.

So anybody who has had an off on a bike knows very well the stiffness is coming.

So I stay awake late and have plenty of brannewyn with Speswillie, Ploegie, Bud500 and smokes.

Because my bike stayed on the trailer at the farmhouse, I couldnt pitch my tent and I shared with Hanno for the night.

Despite the offs for the day, we all had great fun and an amazing evening in the bushveld with good friends and plenty of laughter.

Speswillie was on topform dismantling phones in split seconds so that we could not be tracked by who ever cares to track the Rebeldog pack.

We had to nail his glass down with his own knife for his own protection.

Some random morning shots.
