My beloved R80GS is having trouble indicating to the left, to the right works 100%. After troubleshooting the problem, it was clear that the indicator switch unit itself is at fault. (see attached) After opening and cleaning unit, when I toggle indicator switch to the left, is still does not work. Only if i apply pressure on the orange indicator switch and pushing hard and down to the left, does the indicator light flash properly.
I have spoken to a few people and they suggested that i should try and source a second hand unit as the switch mechanics inside are worn out. I checked on motobins and a new sell for aprox. 75 pounds..+- R1500 incl VAT :'(
Does anyone have a spare unit for a 1985 R80GS?
