At least Harley cater for when you get old and the plastic knees can no longer hold the weight of your two wheeler... ;D

I heard they will be launching a 500cc and 750cc soon aimed at a younger market....this is a whole debate on its own

Made in India. Engines are from the V-Rod family so they actually make measurable horsepower. If the price was competitive (which I doubt), I would prefer it to an NC700
Why do things that only happen to stupid people always happen to me?

I miss my 1200Sportster...had a full Screaming Eagle performance conversion done on it with some other xtras (think harley's have more xtras than the Beemer 1200ADV). Sold it to make space for a small car for the wife.

My dream harley is the CVO Street glide.
If I am correct this is the standard street glide

Hi this pic looks like a standard Street Glide.... I used to own one and they are awesome bikes
CVO is the Custom Vehicle Operation side of Harley Davidson they take standard Harleys and bling them....and the first way to recognise a CVO Harley is by the size of its motor a 110 cubic inch vs the standard currently 103 cubic inch
Then the next thing it will have a custom paint job and lots of goodies like chrome bits etc
So this one in your pic looks like plain black so it would be a standard
They are great bikes in my opinion

Yes Pavlovski, the CVO has dual headlights inside a fairing that is shaped on a downward angle. Looks MEAN! I see a lot of them on that Born to Ride show about Arlen Ness.

This looks like a CVO Road Glide...note it has a fixed fairing the bars turn the fairing does not move the Street Glide has a Batwing Fairing and moves with the steering

I don't work for Harley but really enjoy them
I have been off road riding most of my life and currently still own a GS Adventure but in 2006 i got into the Harley thing ....love anything two wheels....hehe or three as i also own a Royal Enfield with side car
But i know there are a few of us on this forum that own more than one kind of bike in fact a few own Harley's.....like myself
My Ultra Classic Harley must be the most comfortable bike i have ever ridden...reason for it is the big seat...feet platforms....highway pegs so you can move and stretch on the ride....I've also owned a BMW LT and the Harley beats comfort hands down just because you go so much for your legs to move
I  did a trip from Cape Town to Pretoria non sleepover i.e. 1600 km in a day on my "couch" as they call them....as the guys said earlier on the posts extremely comfortable
Also agree with the comments to look at second hand option....many owners of Harley's i hate to say are posers and just want the bike for a status symbol....after a few years they want the latest model and then trade them with low milage at ridicules prices
On this forum people like to put down various bikes for whatever reason....i have ridden a range of bikes in my time, they all have had their place ....the Harley lifestyle is also loads of fun....love my bikes and also because they are all different
How boring would two wheels be if it could only be on one particular motorcycle  :ricky:

There is a guy that converts two wheels goldwings and Harleys to trikes in Pretoria
My dad now 78 started having issues with his plastic knees and when his last wife passed on and he met his new girlfriend we decided to convert his harley for his safety and others to a trike
Nico of Exotic Design did a great job and we based the colour on 2011 CVO

Some magnificent looking Harleys you posted Mother.
I admire your dad and that he keeps on biking, come hell or high water.

That custom Bagger sure looks the Bee's knee's.  :thumleft:

I wonder if it is really possible to own one Harley for a long time.
So many different styles and customising options to like and experience.

What do you define as a long time? I have had my Road King now for four years and am not sure what other Harley I would want. My missus reckons we too young for a couch, but a Street Glide is still in my future. Just love the Road King so will keep it for a while longer.
A  mate in our club has over 350 000km on his bike, engine never opened. They are pretty under stressed so are good for big milage.
Rather live one day like a lion than 100 days like a sheep

I dunno. Doesnt really matter. All I'm saying is that there are so many options that would appeal to me that it would be difficult to choose on one and stay faithful until death do part. Unlike marriage. :imaposer:
