Quite a couple of Yamaha's from the 80's! Kawa was also popular judging by this and Harley an all time favourate, and will always complete the perfect stable

Aaaaah the Yamaha 1100. They made a 1100 Midnight Special and I can tell you that I have never lusted over anything more than that Bike. Interestingly that 1100 Shaftdrive was the Superbike Champion in the early 80's beating all Japanese Bikes hans down.

I did not know that, thanks 2Sd, to me the Special is still one of the most awesome Bikes of the early 80's. Thanks for the Info.

For the CBX fans, saw this one at the 2014 buff. nice seeing the Yamaha XS1100 listed , had the Midnight Special with a 4in1 Basani pipe...loved that bike

Very good thread, and also not that simple. Do you draw up a list of your own favourites throughout the years, or of bikes that made huge impact on release like Suzuki GSX-R 750
in 1985 and Honda's 1969 CB750 four, or Kawasaki's 1969 H1 or 1972 H2 or 1973 Z1 Superfour, or the very fast Vincents of the fifties, or Yamaha's legendary TZ racebikes?
