Ok so I've been told that the XR's are THE bike to buy in terms of easy maintenance, hard as nails motor, plenty off road power, fairly affordable and in general, the easiest way into dual sport without breaking the bank.
So my question is......where the hell are they?
When I go for a ride on the tar ( 'cos I stuffed myself up a wee bit and need to take it easy), I very rarely see any, mostly it's Triumphs and BMW's.
When I visit some off road spots, it's WR450's and KTM's.
**Granted, I haven't done a whole lot of riding, so it could be my limited point of view but I just thought I'd see a whole load more of them.
