What did not go wrong today...
« on: April 05, 2014, 10:10:06 pm »
So, took the bike for a ride, and the following happened:
1. No head shake
2. Water pump did not fail
3. Clutch didn't fail
4. Engine didn't exit through itself
5. Frame didn't crack
6. Clutch fluid didn't leak
7. Oil didn't weep

Sjoe, I must be the luckiest guy ever
I don't always drop my bike, but when I do, I prefer to drop her in front of a crowd

:pot:
Solo travellers should not be considered unsociable, they are expressing their independence until they choose to do otherwise.

Hey Antvan,
I also have one of these duds - 10 months and 15 500 km later it is boringly safe and reliable - maybe I should trade it for a nut frying 1190.
I just remembered, the rear tyre needs replacing - these bikes are dangerous after all.

One other thing. Two weeks or so ago I go for my weekly ride on Hildr in our backyard, and I come across two dudes on a dirt bike stuck in the mud. Knobblies everything. I think: "oh dear". But you know, after they wrestled themselves out I took the same line and Hildr didn't notice her Anakees were supposed to get stuck. Guess she doesn't read this forum...

Me too:
1: No head shake
2: Does not have a water pump
3: Clutch still fine after 122,000km
4: Engine also still fine after 122,000km
5: Frame also looks ok
6: Q20 leaks out of the bottom end of the clutch cable every time after I oiled it?
7: Neither weeps nor uses oil

And that with a piece of Jap crap or actually worse, a Suzuki!!!

Praise the Lord, a miracle!!!
