Hey Jupiter... Yes you're absolutely right, looking at it again I see it had become a bit of a 'peeing contest'  :imaposer: I removed my pics here as I will be receiving my own new rig during the course of next week, then watch out!  :laughing4:

Sorry about this Lew... this is your topic about your new toy! I'm sure you will be posting goodies of your own experiences soon enough.  :thumleft:

There is something really classic about a "saaitskar", some of it relayed to us by my Dad about his Dad's old Harley rig and their youthful antics on this
outfit.
Should a sidecar passenger not be called the chairperson? :peepwall:

Hi all, well finaly my cart arrived back in jhb on Friday, so I only took it for a small spin around the area we live in to first get to know her.Trust me I was like a little boy on fri and sat and spend more time just looking at it parked in my garage. So Sun morning finally arrives and we get ready for our first proper trip as a family. It was smiles all over as you will see in the pictures. We left our house and when't out towards the Rhino and Lion Park and from there out to Fourways Farm Market for lunch, came back via Cradle of Humankind and stopped for coffee too.We had such a awesome ride in our new joy and pride.

The cart was going like it was ment to be on the side of a 1200 gs, stable, comfortable, and with a boot the size of a small car my wive loved the shopping at all the little places we stopped at in the ride.My daugther took the cart for herself and almost fell asleep on the way back. The bike can go from 40 to 110 no problem and yes you can even go more, but then to me it all about taking in the ride with family and not riding Kyalami.

All I can say is that it is well worth the money and a awesome thing to have,I think with the amount of looks we got from other riders with wives on the back not looking so comfortable as we did that more sidecars will be put onto gs bike's in the not so long future!!! :) :) :) :thumleft:

If you guys want to come have a look please let me know and I will chabge your thinking about a sidecar rigg fitted to your gs!

Some pics of our trip.

Aaaah man....  :3some:

Lew you have no idea how great this makes me feel seeing these pics! I've been having ongoing wars with one of my major suppliers and I don't even have a sidecar myself to ride at the moment because of it... But seeing your feedback and your family enjoying your rig like this  reminds me why I started building sidecars for others in the first place!!  :thumleft:

Having said this, all those who have orders in don't worry, all is in order and on schedule... thanks to Lew I'm on my way now to bang some heads!!  :laughing4:

Out of interest, how quick and easy is it to disconnect the two so that you can ride just the bike ?

PS, thats one happy looking family  :thumleft:

Just wonder if the side car passenger should not wear a seat belt? Crash tests have most probably not been done but a seat belt might just improve the odds of a passenger - especially a child.
BoosterPlug, LED Spots, Tool Tubes, RustStop, Kappa Screens, Top boxes, Tank Bags, ATG Gear - whatever works for me.

You are spot on jacobsrood, my belt is coming in this weekend, had one fitted in my ural to.It helps with sudden braking. To be honest I recon to take the cart of will be 20-30 minutes maby quicker, but this baby will stay like this for ever.

I will most proberly get myself another bike for my own use and some fun.
