The S1000 had at most times still at least 3000RPM left in it's arsenal, sounded like the Katoom revved out?

Like I have said before, get BikeSA to put a national rider on the 1290 for a lap around Kyalami/Phakisa or Killarney, and compare with Superbike times.

What is the target market.
Someone who wants a S1000 won't go and buy a 1290R Super Duke.
Common sense dictates that this is not a super bike, unless I am the only one who can't see the fairing.
Did KTM ever mention that this is the best race bike. No. So what is your point 2SD, to see how bad the aerodynamics are and criticize as per normal.
Do you own one?
I do and love it.
