10k Service 14 units @ R37.72 = R528.07
Oil Filter @ R225.51
Castrol Power 4 units @ R114.03 = R456.11
Brake Fluid = R39.47
Sundries = R42.00

Main difference seems to be price of labour,  oil and consumables.

The real nifty bit is, because I own a 2nd bike purchased at Bavarian, I have a loyalty card, so R85.00 of that R1475.00 is loaded on the card for future use at Bavarian.

I see they replaced my airfilter, even tho the bike has never seen dirt. all fluids were changed too, brake, clutch, brake, DIff and engin oils...is this normal??? I cant understand how or why there is such a vast difference in price? Who is ultimatly going to "pay" the price??

the "Stealers" charge like wounded buffalo.....

So,  my LC will request rear brake pads soon.   The wife is off on some art class thingy,  so I decided to try Full Throttle. for the pads.   As I leave,  I remember I have a set for my 09 which I never fitted.  I take them along.  Maybe,  I could,  with some slick talk convince them to sort off make a swop.

I suggest this to the sales dude,  showing the pads are still wrapped and all.   He looks at me like I have just arrived from a madhouse. ...   on Mars.   He gently explains to me that these pads are the same as those required for the LC.

I will go check in awhile.  If that sales dude is wrong I am going to be really damoerin with him.  If he was right,  I would be really damoerin with myself.

It seems some dealers are stealers.   As you can see,  neither Roarman or myself were charged anywhere near what you paid.   My air filter was not replaced and I agree,  I see no need after 10 000km mainly on tar.   Fluids like yours were replaced,  excluding final drive.

Would be nice if you posted the detailed invoice here as well. Did you include brake pads perhaps?

Sales dude = dead.   Pads not the same.  Exact same shape,  but LC pads are bigger.   For those interested in the SBS number:

Pre-LC: 742LS
LC: 674LS

Mine's going for its 10K service in 2 weeks, Bavarian says it will cost ~R1400. I'd say that makes it worth the 60km trip.

Actual figures from Bavarian invoice mid February:

10k Service 14 units @ R37.72 = R528.07
Oil Filter @ R225.51
Castrol Power 4 units @ R114.03 = R456.11
Brake Fluid = R39.47
Sundries = R42.00
Total:  R1291.16 ex VAT.
