My fiets was laas by BM vir n diens op 20 000kms.

toe ek nou fiets verkoop toe moes ek eers die diens boekie soek wat ook natuurlik amper nooit gestamp was nie. so much for that.

(note: ek is in platteland, BMW stealers skaars)

Ek stem Chris.
Ek dink as die fiets uit waarborg is kan 'n man maar self diens.
Ek dink dit sal vir my werk 'n elkeval....

20 000 km diens by Lynn Schroeder in George gister,R 3410.47 ::)

BMW hou natuurlik by 10 000km.

Im going to go back to northside Bmw and ask them how there can be a R1700 difference from the norm to my invoice. I bought the bike new from them but in a year and half time i will be upgrading to a new one and will be supporting another dealer and will be taking my bike to one of them in future for the services

R3174 is a bit steep-costs differ from dealer to dealer. Keep in mind though that when you bought it new, it was serviced on a 1000km "small service" (just checking everything). A 10 000km service will be a bit more expensive than the 1000km service due to labor and changing & checking a bit more.

As I have stated before on this forum; Dealers are not agents of BMW (legally they may not refer to them being Agents) they are all Independent Dealers and each Dealer decides on Labour Cost per Hour every year.BMW does not prescribe to Dealers BUT they need to inform BMW as the Hourly rate is then used when reimbursing Dealers for work done on behalf of BMW (warranty work)
Best advice ask the Dealer what their rate is ask for a worksheet that describes what must be done for the service required and if additional work is requested ask for a Quote then NO Surprises when you collect your Bike.

I had my first annual service ever for my GS LC at 15 000km, normally do more than 10 000km per year, with this being said I paid R1986.00 for it as Donford. I will need to bring my bike back for the 20 000km service, as they still need to do spark plugs plus some other stuff. I would hate to see what the 20k service will be! I have seen R2900 which to me is still very high, imagine what the 40k service will cost with cam belt change etc! The prices are becoming crazy.

My LC has about 65 000 km without any of the services exceeding R3 000-00. Plaky, what cambelt change was supposed to have been done at 40 000 km ???
